There has been a bombardment of Facebook for the past two days informing me of the new gun law proposals by the President. A look at the “23 Executive Actions in Gun Violence Reduction Measures” are telling of the police state that we are already in.

Will these executive actions be taken? You bet they will. Remember the Affordable Care Act that no one in America fully understood and half protested against? That was shoved through? This will be too. There is too much to protest against and those of us who understand what it all means are in a constant state of righteously indignant anger, but we are called conspiracy theorist or accused of not seeking the greater good. Every action by the current administration works together for the same goal.

These particular actions go hand in hand with healthcare:

14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover

21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.

23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

So it seems to me more worthless money will be poured into numerous endeavors  that serve no purpose except to thinly veil that we are constantly being scrutinized, observed and controlled. Research causes and prevention of gun violence? REALLY

The Sandy Hook incident was one of the most disturbing since Columbine, for the fact that is was small children, and now small children and their emotions will be used by the puppeteer government to help soften the citizens heart and mind to these new measures.
Of course Obama press is ensuring that the President “knows and understands” that “most Americans are responsible gun owners”….I don’t buy that, because so far Obama has not demonstrated that he “knows and understands” the other  side of any argument that he has enforced thus far. Take into account executive action number 7:  Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. Number 3 and number 4 Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. Yeah, the President really trusts that 51 percent that supposedly voted for him.

With the government run Health Care, with its imposing on the private sector and the libertarian idea of running ones own business with individual ideas, the deliberate destroying of the American dollar and now the very quick and systematic disarming of the every day American, who feels more protected, valued or proud? I know I don’t. I have never owned a gun, and I still don’t know how to use one. Chances are, in the current climate, I never will. Chances are that I would be fully back ground checked, the powers that be would find my numerous libertarian opinions and I would be blacklisted from the right to protect myself. Maybe I should take some martial arts. The idiocy of the 23 Executive Actions is that it makes it sound as if a gun is a foreign alien enemy, and we must prepare to deal with this enemy or quarantine ourselves before this enemy lands. The reality is that in the future and it may be very near, most innocent Americans will be considered and treated as criminals.

Recently a good friend and I, were discussing reasons to move to another country. He and I don’t necessarily think  alike when it comes to the issues in this blog. The topic of conversation dealt with the state of any American today, who works all the time and has nothing to show for it, the tax rates and what sometimes feels like slavery. I get much more heated when it comes to topics of national interest however. I get much angrier. My question is where can we go? Britain is already where we are going. Australia is too. Little European towns that my friend thinks are ideal are run on communistic theories. My friend says in the scheme of eternity it doesn’t matter. He thinks in four years, Obama will be out and that he will always be respected because of the office that he held…just like Bill Clinton is still respected. In a talk we had after the election, he stated this opinion. I looked at him with total resolve and said “No… I don’t think there will be another election. I think time is wrapping up and even if there is one it wont be like it has been”. I sometimes would like to go to the place that he goes spiritually and mentally. A place that says in the scheme of eternity it doesn’t matter. Those of us who trust in God shouldn’t worry because He takes care of us. The place that says it doesn’t matter what is going on outside in my house all is well. It doesn’t matter if America burns to the ground, “God has me”….in the words of Katniss Aberdeen “I just cant afford to think that way”. The Bible does say

7.”Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me  (Psalm 139:7-10)
However, David was not a pacifist, he was a warrior. The Jews that were killed, tortured and starved during the holocaust suffered. They were not still in their houses watching through the windows at the world that burned around them. There is much that we are losing, and I even wonder if I am in the right path working on a bachelors in Psychology….especially if in the near future I will be assisting big brother in gun confiscations, and becoming more in debt with student loans that will have to be re-payed and God knows how with the fiscal situation. I think of the classic novel, The Catcher in The Rye’s and the protagonists’ crazy fantasy “What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff – I mean if they’re running and they don’t look where they’re going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them.”

Where can we go?
